Obituary for Fred C. Beveroth
FRED C. BEVEROTH, 88, of 317 N. Jackson Street, Morrison, IL, died Monday, March 24, 2008 at Mission Regional Hospital in Mission, TX. Fred was born December 20, 1919 in Morrison, IL, to Fred and Emma (David) Beveroth. He attended Morrison Grade Schools and graduated from Morrison High School. Fred married Carlene H. Schroeder on May 2, 1945 in Morrison. He was part owner and operator of Ken and Fred"s Service Station in Morrison for 27 years. He was later employed by Morrison Community Hospital in the maintenance department for 10 years. Fred was a member of St. Peter"s Lutheran Church in Morrison and a former member of the Morrison Lions Club. Fred was happiest in the company of family and friends, playing cards, sharing a good clean joke, bowling, or dancing. He frequently saved newspaper articles or comics that he knew others would appreciate. He will be missed. A memorial has been established by the family. Survivors include his wife, Carlene; two daughters, Barbara Jeniker of Seattle, WA and Susan Housenga of Clinton, IA; one son, Tom (Jan) Beveroth of Morrison; six grandchildren, Emma (Ivan) Heath, Brian Edwards, Brenda (Pat) Stock, Andrea Beveroth, Damien Beveroth, Katie (Greg) Rider; one great granddaughter, Abby Stock; one sister, Mrs. Helen Mennenga of Lanark, IL. He was preceded in death by one sister, Lillian Zuidema and one brother, Robert Beveroth.
