Obituary for Frank Dykstra
FRANK DYKSTRA, 81, of Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton, IL, died Friday, June 1, 2007 at the nursing home. Frank was born November 30, 1925 in Kenosha, WI to Peter and Anna (Postma) Dykstra. He was educated in the Bunker Hill and Cottonwood Schools of rural Whiteside County. He married Pauline Voss on October 15, 1948 in Fulton. She died April 19, 2005. Frank had been employed by Volkmann"s Furniture Factory, Fulton, IL; Curtis Company, Clinton, IA; Drives, Inc., Fulton, IL and the former Patent Novelty Co., Fulton, IL. He was also a custodian at the Fulton Christian Schools. He was a member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Fulton, served as a deacon and song leader and belonged to the Men"s Forward Club. Survivors include four daughters, Patricia Merema of Clinton, IA, Diane (Mrs. Lee) Kruger of Ackley, IA, Gayle (Mrs. Michael) White of Woodstock, GA, and Gisele (Mrs. Michael) Lehmkuhl of Pella, IA; one son, Michael Dykstra of Kansas City, KS; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Jeanette Vanderlaan of Morrison, IL, Mrs. Sadie Deelsnyder of Fulton, IL, Mrs. Marianna Smith of Fulton, IL and Betty (Mrs. Gerald) Boelkins of Fulton, IL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline; one sister, Rose Zuidema; one brother, Sidney Dykstra.
