Obituary for Frances Clausen
Frances Clausen, formerly of Fulton, passed away December 11, 2013, in Broomfield, CO. She was born in Fulton, IL on October 14, 1927, to Frank and Effie (Post) Boonstra. She was reared and educated in the Fulton area schools. She was married to Lloyd Clausen in September of 1951. She worked for General Electric in Morrison for 40 years, retiring at age 70. She spent her retirement pursuing ceramics, Church Bible studies, quilting classes, and visiting her daughters and grandchildren in Colorado. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church of Fulton, Illinois and liked to sing in the church choir especially at Christmas and Easter. She was also a longtime member of the Rebecca Society.She is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Worthley of Canon City, Colorado and Deborah (Alan) Walters of Federal Heights, Colorado; five grandchildren, Ryan Walters (Sarah), Jamin Walters (Cathleen), Daren (Rebecca), Lindsey Landen, Jessica (Clint) Gehde. Seven great-grandchildren, Devon, Gabriel, Elijah, Canon, Allanna, Dezaray, and Jordan. She joins her nine brothers and sisters and their spouses who have preceded her in death; sisters include Nellie Hartman (Melvin), Tena Van Houten (Bert), Elizabeth Dykstra (Thomas), Flora Buikema Homan (Ko) five brothers, Arthur, Albert (Janette), Thomas (Eleanor), Elmer (Phyllis) and one in infancy.
