Obituary for F. Lucille Cady
F. LUCILLE CADY, 84, of 608 E. 3rd Street, Prophetstown, IL, died Sunday, November 20, 2011 at CGH Medical Center, Sterling, IL. Lucille was born December 20, 1926 in Sterling, IL, to Harold and Luella (McCombs) Carlson. She was educated in the Tampico Grade Schools and was a 1944 graduate of Tampico High School in Tampico, IL and a 1947 graduate of the Moline Public Hospital School of Nursing. Lucille married Arlyn S. Cady on May 16, 1948 in Tampico, IL. She was employed as a registered nurse for Dr. Stanley Robinson in Prophetstown from 1948 to 1952. Lucille was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Prophetstown, a member of the Prophet Hills Country Club, and was an avid Tile Rummy player. Survivors include her husband, Arlyn; two daughters, Renee (Robert) Andrews of Sterling, IL and Ronna (Michael) Sobottka of Walnut, IL; two sons, Richard Cady of Davenport, IA and Randy (Denise) Cady of Yorktown, IL; nine grandchildren, Addison Mills, Jacob Swanson, Sara and Adam Sobottka, Alicia, Andrea, and Catrina Cady, Kimberly (Justin) Kelly, and Jeffrey (Kristie) Cady; five great grandchildren, Haleigh Peterson, Trinzel Lewis, Asante Hannah, Gillian Kelly, and Owen Cady; one sister, Lois (Jack) Glassburn of Sterling, IL; two sisters-in-law, Mary Carlson of Rock Falls, IL and Donna Carlson of Moline, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Neil and Wayne Carlson.
