Obituary for Evelyn M. Kruse
EVELYN M. KRUSE, 101, of Harbor Crest Home, Fulton, IL, died Saturday, November 14, 2015, at Harbor Crest. Evelyn was born August 14, 1914, in Fulton, IL, to Earl J. and Lucille (Morey) Ravis. She was educated in the Fulton Grade School and attended Fulton High School. Evelyn married Edwin W. "Bud" Kruse on September 1, 1932, in Morrison, IL. He died January 14, 1998. Evelyn was employed by J.C. Penney"s Store in Clinton, IA; Shull"s Men"s Store in Clinton, IA; and Jahn"s Home Furnishings in Fulton, IL. Evelyn was a member of the Fulton Presbyterian Church and the church"s United Presbyterian Women. She enjoyed sewing, playing cards, and traveling. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Hill-Addington of Clinton, IA and Shirley (Richard) Schrader of Fulton, IL; nine grandchildren, R. Tom (Cinda) Schrader, Joe (Brenda) Schrader, Mark (Chris) Schrader, Julie (Mark) Walker, David (Gini) Hill, John (Laurie) Hill, James (Cindy) Hill, Michael (Kim) Hill, and Lisa Hill; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bud; one granddaughter, Pamela Hill; five sisters, Helen Thompson, Earline Judge, Margaret Thomas, Jane Tejes, and Edna Hansen; and one brother, John Ravis.
