Obituary for Ervin E. Stuart
ERVIN E. STUART, 89, of Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Resthave Home in Morrison.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2018 at Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, preceded by a visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Mr. Ken Renkes is officiating. Interment will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison. Memorials to Resthave Home and Hospice of the Rock River Valley have been established.
Ervin was born November 13, 1928, in Morrison, to Fred and Tina (Wiersema) Stuart. He was educated in the Humphrey Grade School of rural Whiteside County. On February 9, 1951 he married Delores Houzenga in Morrison. Ervin farmed in rural Whiteside County all his life. He was a member of Ebenezer Reformed Church and enjoyed bowling, and also traveling, with Delores. Ervin enjoyed sitting on his deck, watching the traffic.
Survivors include his wife Delores; two daughters, Cheryl (Terry) Travis of Geneseo, IL and Yvonne (Tim) Jensen of Fulton, IL; four sons, all of Morrison, Roger (Janice) Stuart, Daryl Stuart, Darwin (Carolyn) Stuart, Jerry (Lisa) Stuart; fourteen grandchildren; three step grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; one sister, Mildred “Millie” Schaver of Morrison.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Balk and Ruth Walters; five brothers, Arthur, Donald, Marion, James and Robert Stuart.
