Obituary for Dr. Dale Weber
DR. DALE WEBER, 90, of Fulton, IL, died peacefully in his sleep Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Mercy One Medical Center in Clinton, IA, which he considered his second home after spending so many hours there during his career.

Cremation rites have been accorded. An Open House will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church Atrium in Clinton. Please join the family for lunch and to share your favorite memories of Dale. Donations may be made to the family and will be used to help the Albert Schweitzer Hospital, which continues to work to improve the healthcare of the poor in Gabon, Africa. No flowers please. The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dale was born August 6, 1931, on the family farm in Cass County, IA, where he helped his parents farm until he graduated from Cumberland High School as Salutatorian. After high school, he entered the United States Army as an MP. During his time in the army, he married Judy Dasher, whom he had met while showing livestock in 4-H. After his discharge from the Army, he farmed in the Atlantic area for several years. His wife figured out how he could go to college by selling his equipment and using the GI bill. He entered Iowa State University in 1956 as a pre-med student. After graduating, he attended the University of Iowa. During his time in medical school, he received a fellowship to travel to Gabon, Africa and work with Dr. Albert Schweitzer. After graduating from medical school, he moved to Clinton in 1964 to become one of the founders of Medical Associates. However, he didn’t give up his love for farming. So, with his brother, Keith, a farm was bought near the family farm. Dale retired in 2011 after 47 years as a doctor, but continued with the farm until his death. Dale was married to Judy Dasher from 1954 until her death in 2005 and Vicky Wall from 2006 until her death in 2021.

Dale is survived by his children, Linda (Roger), Cynthia, Dan, Lori and Sharon (Tim); stepdaughters, Jamie and Reagen; seven grandchildren; many step grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brother, Charles; his sister, Joann.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Louise; brother, Keith.
