Obituary for Dorothy M. Engelkins
DOROTHY M. ENGELKINS, 75, of Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton, IL, died Thursday, December 8, 2005 at the nursing home. Dorothy was born March 27, 1930, in Albany, IL, to Jabes and Josephine (Zeeryp) Geerts. She was educated in the Albany schools. She married Bernard J. Engelkins on August 31, 1946 in Clinton, IA. She was employed with Fulton Corporation, retiring in 1992. She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Fulton. She enjoyed two-step and square dancing with her husband and playing Bingo at the nursing home. Survivors include her husband, Bernie; one daughter, Vicki Steward of Brandon, FL; three sons, Jerry (Diane) Engelkins of Morrison, IL; Steve (Alice) Engelkins of Andrew, IA and Ricky Engelkins of Clinton, IA; ten grandchildren, Derek Steward, Kurt Steward, Chad Engelkins, Lisa Engelkins, Heather Balint, Brandon Engelkins, Joshua Engelkins, Kurt Behrens, Tiffany Moore and Tyler Engelkins; nine great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Luella Good and Mary (Mrs. Harold) Woods , both of Clinton, IA; two brothers, Paul (Penny) Geerts and Clarence (Mary Lou) Geerts, both of Elwood, IA. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertrude Morthland and Lucille DeVoss; one brother, Clifford Geerts
