Obituary for Donna Mae Dykstra
DONNA MAE DYKSTRA, 85, of Middletown, OH, formerly of Clinton, IA, died Monday, March 27, 2023 at Bickford of Middletown.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with Pastor John Loyd officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 31st at the Fulton Chapel. Interment will be in the Fulton Township Cemetery in Fulton, IL. A memorial to Hospice Care of Middletown, Middletown, OH has been established.
Donna was born March 14, 1938 in Fulton, IL, to Donald and Nellie G. (Buikema) DeWeerdt. She was educated in the rural Whiteside County grade schools and was a 1957 graduate of Morrison High School in Morrison, IL. On March 25, 1966 she married Alfred W. Dykstra in Fulton. He died March 4, 2020. Donna was employed at GE in Morrison, Neilson Clearing House and volunteered at Mercy Hospital in Clinton, IA. She was a member of First Reformed Church in Fulton. Her hobbies included cross stitching and reading.
Survivors include two daughters, Donell (Neal) VanLoo of Monroe, OH and Robin (Jim) McKee of Fulton, IL; two sons, Rick (Linda) Dykstra of Henderson, NV and Ron (Karen) Dykstra of Clinton, IA; eleven grandchildren; twenty two great grandchildren; four great-great granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred; two sisters, Joan Heusinkveld and Gloria Biermann.
