Obituary for Donna J. Nye
DONNA J. NYE, 68, of Chadwick, IL, died Sunday, March 6, 2022, in her home.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. There will be a Celebration of Life following the visitation at Brick Block Pub in Morrison, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial has been established.
Donna was born March 28, 1953, in Morrison, IL, to William and Wilma (Blink) Schrader. She was educated in the Chadwick grade schools and was a 1971 graduate of Chadwick High School. She married James C. Nye on December 16, 1972, in Fairhaven, IL. He died April 21, 2020. She was employed at National Manufacturing in Sterling, IL, retiring in 2007. Donna enjoyed camping and collecting horse figurines. She was an avid cat lover, especially of her beloved Angel and her late Precious. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her best friend and daughter, Brenda Nye of Morrison, IL; step daughter, Tina Updike of Mt. Carroll, IL; step son, Tim Nye of Thomson, IL; four step-grandchildren, Crystal Updike, Joshua (Jennifer) Updike, James Gregory Nye and Chelsea Nye; six step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Carol (Keith) Nylin of Clinton, IA and Diane (William) North; one brother, Terry (Teresa) Schrader of Riverdale, UT.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James.
