Obituary for Donald W. Deelsnyder
DONALD W. DEELSNYDER, 89, of 1100 13th Avenue, Fulton, IL, died Friday, March 12, 2010 at Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton, IL. Donald was born January 28, 1921 in Clinton, IA, to William and Josephine (Pessman) Deelsnyder. He was educated in the Fulton Grade Schools and attended Fulton High School. Don was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was employed by the former I.E. DuPont Company in Clinton, IA for 30 years, retiring in 1979. Don was a member of First Reformed Church in Fulton the American Legion Fulton Post #402. He enjoyed bicycle riding, repairing lawn mowers and bicycles, and morning coffee fellowship with friends. Survivors include his wife, Marie; one brother, Allen (Della Mae) Deelsnyder of Fulton, IL; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Sadie Deelsnyder of Fulton, IL and Mrs. Luella Deelsnyder of Clinton, IA. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Darlene Deelsnyder in infancy and Verna Grage; two brothers, Robert and Willard Deelsnyder.
