Obituary for Donald Eugene Webster Sr.
DONALD EUGENE WEBSTER, SR., 71, of Savanna, IL, died Sunday, June 4, 2017, at Mercyhealth Rockford Memorial Hospital in Rockford, IL.Donald was born December 14, 1945, in Davenport, IA, to Alonzo Bud and Georgia M. (Platt) Webster. He was educated in the Garden Plain grade school and was a graduate of Fulton High School in Fulton, IL. Donald served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He married Stacy R. Swift on August 12, 2000 in Savanna, IL. Donald was employed by Titan Tire in Freeport, IL. He was an avid golfer and was a member of the Palisades Golf Course in Savanna where he had 2 holes in one and Sand Burr Run in Thomson, IL. Donald enjoyed fishing and loved his Harley Davidson. He was an expert cribbage player and loved to teach and play the game with his loved ones. He loved his grandchildren and cherished the time he got to spend with them. A memorial has been established by the family.Survivors include his wife, Stacy; two sons, Donald Eugene (Celeste) Webster Jr. of Del Rio, TX and Scott (Sarah) Webster of Annawan, IL; four grandchildren, Eli and Olivia Webster; Kaleb and Jareb Webster; one sister, Cheryl A. (Russell) Smith of South Jordan, UT; and one brother, Gerald R. Moose (Pauline) Webster of West Chester, PA.He was preceded in death by his parents.
