Obituary for Donald C. Rauser
DONALD C. RAUSER, 94, of The Lindens at Luther Park, Des Moines, IA, died Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. Don was born December 20, 1919, in Salem Township, Carroll County, IL, to Louis F. and Laura (Queckboerner) Rauser. He was educated in the Chadwick grade schools. He married Eloise I. Remmers at the First evangelical Lutheran Church parsonage in Chadwick, IL, on December 19, 1945. Don served in the Army Air Corp in England during WWII. He was the maintenance supervisor at GE Company in Morrison for over 30 years. Don was a member of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Morrison. Survivors include his wife, Eloise; one daughter, Kathy (Glenn) Vogel of Ithaca, NY; two sons, Larry (Diane) Rauser of Ankeny, IA and Kent (Lori) Rauser of Scottsdale, AZ; two grandchildren, Daniel (Danielle) Rauser and Daryl (Alissa) Rauser; five great grandchildren, Dylan, Tyson, Tegan, Dredan and Braxton. He was preceded in death by one brother, Lyle Rauser.
