Obituary for Denesse A. Yohn
DENESSE A. YOHN, 88, of Morrison, IL, died Friday, April 29, 2011 at Morrison Community Hospital. Denesse was born March 4, 1923, in Morrison, IL, to Edwin and Mabel (Peterson) Foreman. She graduated from Morrison High School and attended the University of Illinois. She married Charles T. Yohn on April 20, 1946, in Rockford, IL. He died March 7, 1991. She was one of the first female vice- presidents of the former Smith Trust & Savings Bank in Morrison. She later retired from the bank. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Morrison; the PEO; the Morrison Community Hospital Auxiliary, and the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include one daughter, Susan (Steven) Perkins of East Moline, IL; one son, Gregory Yohn of Singer Island, FL; three grandchildren, Abra,Keith, and Michelle; four great grandchildren, Sawyer, Elena, Nikos and Melody; one brother, Kent (Peggy) Foreman of Morrison. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; one brother, Hudson Foreman.
