Obituary for Della J. Tichler
DELLA J. TICHLER, 82, of Four Seasons Living Center in Morrison, IL, died Monday, June 16, 2008 at the center. Della was born on September 23, 1925 in Fulton, IL to Joseph II and Dorothy L. (Sterenberg) Bielema. She attended Fulton grade schools and high school in Fulton, IL. She married Williard Tichler on December 15, 1972 in Morrison, IL. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1989. Della was employed by the Clinton Garment Company as a seamstress in Clinton, IA for many years. She was a former member of the First Reformed Church in Fulton, IL; and a current member of Ebenezer Reformed Church in Morrison, IL. She was a member of the Ladies Aid Society and Tuesday Afternoon Bible Study. She also belonged to the Christian Women"s Club in Clinton, IA. Della enjoyed cooking, baking, crafts and needlework. Survivors include one step daughter, Marla Stuart of Morrison, IL; two step sons, Philip (Mary Jo) Tichler of Morrison, IL, Duane Tichler of Knoxville, IA; ten step grandchildren; several step great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Bernadine Sanders of Morrison, IL, Coretta (Mrs. Bruce) Van Kooten of Morrison, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Williard; one sister, Karen Brands; one brother, Joel Bielema; one nephew, Rodney Van Kooten.
