DEBORAH F. JUIST, 68, of Polo, IL, died Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL.Deb was born July 4, 1949 in Morrison, IL to Jay J. and Virginia A. (Decker) Wilkens. She married Gary R. Juist on January 15, 1971 in Morrison. Deb had worked in various businesses in the Polo, IL area. She was a member of the Bethel Reformed Church in Sterling and served as a Sunday school teacher and superintendent. She was also a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation and Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. Deb enjoyed mountain biking, baking, gardening, hunting, cross country skiing and spending time with family.Survivors include her husband, Gary; two daughters, Sarah (Kristopher) Schmidt of Morrison, IL and Rachel (Scott) Phillips of Polo, IL; nine grandchildren, Jordan, Ellie, Wade, Gracyn, Madelyn, Jaicee, Jake, Seth and Ethan; three sisters, Sandra Wilkens of Morrison, IL; Ellyn Sue (Charles) Osterday of New Paris, IN, and Cheryl (Brian) Onken of Morrison, IL; one brother, Steven (Lou Ann) Wilkens of Lanark, IL; special friends, Dorothy Milburn of Mt. Morris, IL and DeeDee Bock of Dixon, IL.She was preceded in death by her parents.
