Obituary for David Meiners
DAVID L. MEINERS, 66, of 15065 Schipper Lane, Morrison, IL, died Sunday, August 25, 2013, at his home. Dave was born April 25, 1947, in Sterling, IL, to Karl H. and Clara E. (Farwell) Meiners. He was a graduate of Sterling High School. Dave was employed by General Electric in Morrison for 34 years, retiring in 2003. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and dirt track racing. Survivors include one daughter, Tina (Shawn) Scott of Lyndon, IL; one son, Brian (Cheryl Hook) Meiners of Morrison, IL; three grandchildren, Josh (Tara Carrier) Stephenson, Cody and Chris Scott; one step grandchild, Shawn Schipper; three great grandchildren, Karter and Gracie Scott; Noah Carrier; two brothers, Denis Meiners of Dixon, IL and Dana (Teresa) Meiners of Sterling, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dale Meiners.
