Obituary for Dale R. Blasdell
DALE R. BLASDELL, 65, of Morrison, IL, died Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Morrison Community Hospital, Morrison, IL.Dale was born December 15, 1951, in Morrison, IL, to Ray C. and Jessie P. (Hovey) Blasdell. He was educated in the Fenton, IL grade school and was a 1970 graduate of Erie High School in Erie, IL. Dale married Maria C. Hernandez on February 28, 1975, in Morrison, IL. Dale was a farmer and enjoyed using his hands, working on all types of tractors and vehicles. He was a handyman and enjoyed helping others. He was a member of the Fenton United Methodist Church in Fenton, IL and a member of the Whiteside County Farm Bureau.Survivors include his wife, Maria; two daughters, Anna (Justin) Tate of Morrison, IL and Regina (DJ) Sikkema of Lyndon, IL; two sons, Raymond (Julie Anderson) Blasdell of Fulton, IL and Dail Lee (fiance Amanda Wiersema) Blasdell of Morrison, IL; five grandchildren, Vanessa (Nick) Cunningham, Brent and Toby Tate, Ethan and Alexis Sikkema; his mother-in-law, Guadalupe Hernandez of Erie, IL; one sister, Carol (Mike) McNealy of Morrison, IL; two brothers, Donald Butch (Sandra) Hamm of Morrison, IL and Roger D. (Carmen) Blasdell of Albany, IL.He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Pearl Blasdell and Betty Van Meter; two brothers, Johnnie Hamm and Maurice Blasdell.
