Obituary for Connie Merema
CONNIE L. MEREMA, 46, of 633 W. Lincolnway in Morrison, IL died Monday, November 16, 2009 at Morrison Community Hospital. Connie was born on May 28, 1963 in Clinton, IA to Larry L. and Nancy (Andresen) Rieck. She was educated in the rural Whiteside County grade schools and was a graduate of Prophetstown High School in Prophetstown, IL. She then attended Sauk Valley Community College in Dixon, IL where she obtained an Associates Degree. She was a graduate of the Trinity School of Nursing and Health Services as a certified surgical technician and was the recipient of the Surgical Technician Program Leadership Award. She married Michael L. Merema on August 10, 2001 in Morrison, IL. Connie served in the U.S. Army. She was employed as a Nurses Aid at the Resthave Nursing Home in Morrison, IL. She was a member of St. Peter"s Lutheran Church in Morrison, IL and loved attending her children"s sporting activities. Survivors include her husband, Mike; one daughter, Tiffani Merema of Morrison, IL; four sons, Ryan Belcher of West Virginia, Damian Rieck of Morrison, IL, Colton Merema and Devin Merema of Morrison, IL; her father, Larry Rieck of Fenton, IL; two sisters, Kelly Rieck of Fulton, IL and Cathy (Merle) McQuistion of Fulton, IL; one brother, Kevan (Deb) Rieck of Cordova, IL; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy; one brother, Mark Rieck; one sister, Tammy Rieck.
