Obituary for Claudia Thomson
CLAUDIA THOMSON, 68, of 700 Milnes Drive, Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at University Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, IA. Claudia was born January 10, 1939 in Rock Falls, IL to Raymond C. and Dorothy (Evans) Monn. She was educated in Rock Falls Grade Schools and was a 1957 graduate of Rock Falls High School. She married Arlyn D. Thomson on October 10, 1958 in Sterling, IL. She was employed as a jewelry store clerk for years. Claudia was a member of Morrison United Methodist Church, the church"s Mission Committee, and United Methodist Women. She also was a member of Morrison Community Hospital Auxiliary and a volunteer in the hospital"s Lobby Shop. She had also served as a Cub Scout Den Mother. She enjoyed participating in the Relay for Life, playing cards, and family activities. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Arlyn; two sons, Kenneth Thomson of Rockton, IL; Kevin (Emily) Thomson of Fitchburg, WI; three grandchildren, Abigail, Luke, and Henry Thomson; one sister, Mrs. Sylvia Steele of Branson, MO; and one brother, Gordon (Janet) Monn of Sterling, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents.
