Obituary for Charles E. Swift Jr.
CHARLES E. SWIFT JR., 79, of Davenport, IA, died Thursday, October 22, 2020, at The Alverno in Clinton, IA.
A private family graveside service will be held on Monday, October 26, 2020, at the Fulton Township Cemetery in Fulton, IL. There will be no visitation and the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is assisting the family. A memorial has been established by the family.
Charles was born June 16, 1941, in Fulton, IL to Charles E. and Ruth (Frundel) Swift. He was a Fulton High School graduate. He married Joyce Eckstein on July 6, 1991 in Davenport, IA. She died September 29, 2015. Charles was employed at John Deere in Moline, IL and retired from Federal Distribution in Davenport, IA.
Survivors include one daughter, Teri Jepson of Erie, IL; three sons, Mark Swift of Fulton, IL; Scott Swift of Rockford, IL; and David Swift of Erie, IL; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Joyce, Linda, and Nancy.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; one brother, David Canales.
