Obituary for Catherine L. McCullough
CATHERINE L. MCCULLOUGH, 62, of Clinton, IA, died Sunday, November 20, 2016, at her home.Catherine was born August 11, 1954, in Bessemer, Alabama, to John H. and Carrie M. (Watts) Champion. She was educated in the Florida schools. She married Billie Joe McCullough, Sr. on May 14, 1970, in Orlando, FL. Catherine was employed at the former Joes Tavern in Clinton, IA. She was instrumental in establishing a new breast cancer support group in Clinton in the last few months.Survivors include one daughter, Cathy (Joel) Ondler of Cedar Rapids, IA; one son, Billie Joe McCullough, Jr. of Clinton, IA;six grandchildren, Jacob Coverdill, Joseph McCullough, Jessica Hull, Tyler McCullough, Wyatt Ondler and Travis Ondler; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Janice (Robert) Stevens of Tavares, FL; Barbara (Sherwood) Elliot of Clinton, IA; and Debra Shepard of Clinton, IA; three brothers, John A. (Jolene) Champion of Fulton, IL; James D. Champion of Umatilla, FL; and David Champion of Clinton, IA.She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Lanice Ann Champion in infancy; two brothers, Alton H. and Larry Champion.
