BRADLEY A. DECKER, 61, passed away on October 5, 2023, at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago Illinois after a brief illness.
Bradley Alan Decker was born May 21, 1962 to Lyle Alan and Carol (Bogle) Decker in Morrison, IL.
He was educated in the Morrison schools and then joined the United States Navy in 1979, dedicating four years to active duty and an additional two years in the reserves. He spent a decade residing in Washington State before eventually returning to the Morrison region. Throughout most of his lifetime Bradley pursued a career as a long-haul truck driver. He was passionate about, and became an ardent reader of history.
He is survived by three daughters, Carolann Stoner and Kurstin Decker of Canada, and Rachel Decker of Clinton, IA; his mother Carol Decker of Summerfield, FL; a brother, Kirk (Beth) Decker; two sisters, Kristin ( Ray Scudder) Decker of New Port Richey, FL and Jennifer (Pamela Sylves) Decker of Summerfield, FL; an aunt, Mary Jane Huber of Moline; an uncle, Richard (Dick) Bogle of Fulton, IL; many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his father Lyle Decker; maternal grandparents Orville and Bertha Bogle; fraternal grandparents Bill and Gladys Decker; uncle and aunt, Richard and Lynne Lindstrom; uncle, Ronald Decker.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison on May 18, 2024, at 11:00 AM. A celebration of life will follow at Brick Block Pub in Morrison, where all friends and family are welcome to celebrate Bradley with his family.
