Obituary for Bonnie Smith
BONNIE SMITH, 55, of Tampico, IL, died August 5, 2013 at her home in Tampico. Bonnie was born July 12, 1958, in Morrison, IL, to Robert A. and Mary Lou (Whipple) Smith. She was educated in the Prophetstown Grade School and was a 1976 graduate of Prophetstown High School. She married Steven R. Smith on December 10, 1977 in Prophetstown. Bonnie cleaned houses in Prophetstown and the surrounding area. She enjoyed attending the lawn mower racing events with her husband, Steve, and also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid gardener and took special interest in flower gardening. She also took great pride in caring for her animals. Survivors include her husband, Steve; two daughters, Nicole (Gabe) Olinger and Angela (Adam) Bollman, both of Prophetstown; three grandchildren, Gavin and Avery Olinger and Cadence Bollman; two sisters, Sandra Smith of Moline, IL and Mrs. Susan Odquist of Bronston, KY; one brother, George (Dorothy) Smith of Albany, NY. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Steven Smith, in infancy.
