Obituary for Bonnie L. Casey
Our beautiful Momma, BONNIE L. CASEY, 80, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Friday, December 11, 2020 at home, with her daughter.
Due to the current COVID restrictions, for the safety of her family and friends, a private family graveside service will be held at Fulton Township Cemetery in Fulton, IL. The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. A memorial to Lewy Body Dementia Association has been established.
Bonnie was born March 6, 1940, in Savanna, IL, to Lee M. and Viola M. (Warfield) Sweely. She attended high school in Geneseo, IL. On August 29, 1964 she married Palmer H. Casey in Fulton, IL. He died August 12, 2000. Bonnie never met a stranger in her life and loved everyone. She also loved her job and coworkers at Drives Incorporated in Fulton where she finally retired after working there for over 37 years; she then worked with her daughter at R & R Farms and The Unicorn, in Clinton. Bonnie was a member of the former Assembly of God Church in Fulton and Evangelical Free Church, now Journey Church in Clinton, IA. She enjoyed bowling and cherished the time she was able to spend with her family.
Survivors include three daughters, Debra Weaver of House Springs, MO, Melody Wilkinson of Thomson, IL and Rose (Ron) Graves of Clinton; two sons, Randy (Penny) Casey of Fulton, IL and Dan (Kelli) Casey of Goose Lake, IA; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Kelso of Well, NV and Becky (Jerry) Barton of Davenport, IA
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Palmer; one granddaughter, Melinda Wilkinson; two brothers, Robert “Bob” Sweely, Lee “Pete” Sweely Jr; one son-in-law, Kevin Weaver.
