BEVERLY JANE VAN KAMPEN, 89, of Clinton, IA, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Sunday, August 4, 2024, at The Alverno Health Care Facility in Clinton.
Her graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at the Fulton Township Cemetery with Chaplain Elizabeth Heard, chaplain at The Alverno Health Care Facility in Clinton, IA, officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Friday, August 9, 2024, at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to Susan G. Koman for the Cure.
Beverly was born October 23, 1934, in Fulton, IL, to Louis and Gertrude (VanZuiden) Bos. She was educated in the Fulton grade schools and attended Fulton High School. On April 3, 1958, she married Donald L. Van Kampen in Fulton and they shared their lives together for over 47 years until Donald’s passing on June 2, 2005. Beverly was employed by General Electric in Morrison, IL, and was a dedicated homemaker. She enjoyed bowling, camping, crafts, flower gardening and cherished spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy (Robert) Harris of Milan, IL; one son, Daniel (Beth) Van Kampen of Fulton, IL; five grandchildren, Brandy (Art) Kaha, Jason (Terisa) Harris, Dustin Van Kampen, Kristin Van Kampen and Kyle (Kayce) Curtis; three great-grandchildren, Alex and Sonya Harris and Kaylie Curtis; two sisters, Ruth Ann Perry of Byers, CO and Shirley Armstrong of Fulton, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; one daughter, Kimberly Curtis; one granddaughter, Jacque Lynn Curtis; two sisters, Loretta Graves and Esther Woods.
