Obituary for Becki L. Damhoff
BECKI L. DAMHOFF, 61, of Morrison, IL, died Monday, February 14, 2022 at her home.
Her funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2022 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, with Mr. Ken Renkes officiating. A visitation will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 20th at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fenton Cemetery, Fenton, IL. A memorial has been established.
Becki was born on October 11, 1960, in Morrison, IL, to Merle and Beth (Drury) Sterenberg. She was educated in the Morrison grade schools and graduated from Morrison High School in 1978. She married David Damhoff on March 25, 2000 in Morrison. She had worked for Dr. Jennings Optometry for 25 years. She then followed her passion and worked for several flower shops in the area. She was a member of the Morrison Lions Club and was a past president. She also was a past president of the Morrison United Way and she volunteered many hours with the Morrison Food Pantry. Becki enjoyed crafting, flowers, antiques, being in the country and on the farm, and above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Dave; two sons, Zach (Laini) Houzenga of Morrison and Abe (Christie) Houzenga of Morrison; two step sons, Derik (Nina) Damhoff and Dustin (Jackie) Damhoff; seven grandchildren, Cooper and Drew Houzenga, Dailey and Dash Damhoff, Sophie, Kaleb and Ellie Damhoff; her parents, Merle (Lillian) Sterenberg of Fulton, IL and Beth Poling of Morrison; one sister, Melissa DeVorah of Morrison; one brother, Mark (Cara) Sterenberg of Sterling, IL; her mother-in-law, Geraldine “Deanie” Damhoff of Morrison.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Donald Damhoff and her step-father, Ronald Poling.
