Obituary for Barbara A. Loy
BARBARA A. LOY, 79, of Morrison, IL, died Thursday, January 4, 2018, at her home.
There will be no funeral service or visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Barbara was born August 4, 1938, in Clinton, IA, to Cecil W. and Evelyn (Cochran) George. She was educated in the Morrison Grade Schools and was a 1956 graduate of Morrison High School. Barbara was a 1959 graduate of the Swedish American School of Nursing in Rockford, IL. She married Richard “Dick” H. Loy on June 4, 1960, in Morrison, IL. She was employed as a registered nurse by the Morrison Community Hospital in Morrison, IL and retired from CGH Hospital in Sterling, IL. Barbara was a former member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Morrison. She enjoyed crafting and spending time with family and friends. A memorial to CGH Health Foundation has been established.
Survivors include her husband, Dick; three daughters, Lisa Loy of Chicago, IL; Wendy Loy of Indiana; and Deborah (Todd) Etheridge of Dixon, IL; one son, Dick (Bonnie) Loy Jr. of Keystone, IA; five grandchildren, Rich (Crystal) ,Becky (Mason), Mitchell, Logan, and Nolan; and three great-grandchildren, Bryer, Beckham, and Audrey.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Donald George in infancy.
