Obituary for Audrey M. Tegeler-Jordan
AUDREY M. WELLS TEGELER-JORDAN, 85, of 803 S. Bluff, Albany, IL, died Monday, July 31, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center in Clinton, IA. Audrey was born March 31, 1921, in LeClaire, IA, to Alfred J. and Mabel (Gilbert) Wells. She graduated from Fulton High School and attended Central Bible College in Zion, IL for two years. In 1940 she married Maurice Tegeler in Fulton, IL. He died May 8, 1944. She then married Alvin Jordan on August 8, 1970, in Moline, IL. She was employed by the Dixon Chamber of Commerce and the YMCA in Dixon, IL. She later worked for the Village of Albany as the Treasurer. She was a charter member of the Albany Tri-Township Heritage Historical Society. Survivors include one daughter, Karen Marie (Mrs. Gary) Tegeler Callahan-Altman of Papillion, NE; one son, Donald Maurice (Nancy) Tegeler of Spring Grove, IL; one step daughter Belinda Haigwood of Fulton, IL; one step son, Stephen (Beth) Jordan of Albany, IL; four grandchildren, Tomas (Sheryl) Callahan Jr., William (Carmen) Callahan, Stacy (Ron) Bedford, Donald (Susan) Tegeler Jr.; six step grandchildren, Jacob (Stephanie) Jordan, Amber Jordan, Travis Jordan, Jeffery Haigwood, Ashley Haigwood, William Haigwood; ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Stewart of Moline, IL; one brother, Alfred L. (Dorothy) Wells of St. Cloud, FL. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Maurice Tegeler; one sister, Veva Wade.
