Obituary for Anne M. Petersen
ANNE M. PETERSEN, 77, of Morrison, IL, died Saturday, May 18, 2013, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Anne was born April 27, 1936 in Nancy, France to Eugene and Marie (Mentree) Revelly. She was educated in the Corps de Ballet, Opera de Nancy. She married H. Duayne Martin on March 1, 1954, in Nancy, France. She later married Warren P. Petersen on February 11, 1977, in Morrison, IL. He died February 7, 2012. Anne was first employed as a professional ballerina in the Opera de Nancy in Nancy, France. She then was employed by General Electric in Morrison, IL. Most recently, she owned and operated Anne Petersen"s Dance Studio in Morrison for 33 years. Anne was a member of St. Mary"s Catholic Church in Morrison, IL, the Prophets Hill Country Club in Prophetstown, IL, and the Morrison American Legion Auxiliary. Anne enjoyed golfing, swimming, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. Anne was so honored when former dance students acknowledged the positive impact she made in their lives. Anne"s heritage was a significant part of her visits to her birthplace. Survivors include one daughter, Patti (Dave) Austin of Riverton, IL; one son, Gary (Thessy Wincent) Martin of Munich, Germany; one stepdaughter, Beth (Mike Specht) Petersen of Prophetstown, IL; two stepsons, Paul (Gwen Scott) Petersen of Prophetstown, IL and Corey (Lorrie) Petersen of Kirkland, WA; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marcelle (Guy) Bettstatter of Liverdun, France; Andre Revelly of Antibes, France; Nanou Clement of Narbonne, France. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Warren; one great nephew, Alexandre Degoutin.
