Obituary for Alice Mae Huizenga
ALICE MAE HUIZENGA, 83, of Bickford Cottage, Clinton, IA, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Bickford Cottage. Alice was born December 6, 1929, in Fulton, IL, to John M. and Elsie (Bielema) Huizenga. She was educated in the Fulton Grade Schools and was a graduate of Fulton High School. Alice was first employed by the former Patent Novelty Company in Fulton. She later owned and operated Mor-Huiz, Inc. in Fulton, until retiring. Alice was a member of First Christian Reformed Church in Fulton. She was named Grand Marshall of the Fulton Dutch Days Festival. Alice was an accomplished musician and was skilled on several different instruments. Survivors include one brother, Marvin Huizenga of Fulton, IL; one niece, Ruth Fatchett of DeWitt, IA; and one nephew, Kenneth Huizenga of Morrison, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister-in-law, Genevieve Huizenga.
