Obituary for Alice M. White
ALICE M. WHITE, 85, of Resthave Home in Morrison, IL, died Monday, July 7, 2014 at Resthave. Alice was born February 10, 1929, in Pleasant Valley Township, Fayette County, IA, to Donald R. and Ida A. (Nydegger) Cummings. She married Marion A. White on September 30, 1955 in Rock Island, IL. He died June 17, 1994. Alice was first employed by Bendix Aviation Corporation in Davenport, IA. Later she owned and operated, along with her husband, the former Western Auto Store in Morrison. Most recently she worked for General Electric Co. in Morrison. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Morrison, and also belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star. Alice enjoyed playing cards and spending time with family. Survivors include one daughter, Chris (Neil) Reynolds of Sterling, IL; one step daughter, Connie White of Galesburg, IL; one step son, Bill (Sally) White of Summerfield, FL; eight grandchildren, Curt (Amy) Reynolds, Keith (Jessica) Reynolds, Allison (Matt) Hoehn, Michael (Jolivia) Porter, Stephen Porter, Brandon White, Jeff White, Carolyn (Jason) Manfull; nine great grandchildren, Katie and Kayce Reynolds, Emma Wiemken, Penelope and Milo Reynolds, Wyatt Hoehn, Jackson and Charlotte Porter, Grace Manfull. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion; one daughter, Patricia Porter; three sisters and three brothers.
