Obituary for Linda Lou McDivitt
LINDA LOU MCDIVITT, 68, of Morrison, IL, died Monday, January 15, 2018, at her home.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 17, 2018, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life following at Da' Bar in Morrison. There will be no funeral service and cremation rites will be accorded. A memorial has been established by the family.
Linda was born September 26, 1949, in Morrison, IL, to Ora J. and Loretta M. (Fredericks) Schipper. She was educated in the Erie grade schools and was a graduate of Erie High School in Erie, IL. She married Gary L. Ottens on October 18, 1968, in Fulton, IL. She later married Michael McDivitt on July 16, 2004 in Morrison, IL. He died June 26, 2012. Linda was employed by General Electric, Isle of Rhodes, Da' Bar, and Family Dollar all in Morrison, IL. She enjoyed gardening and sewing.
Survivors include five daughters, Julie (Tom) Zuidema, Missy (Alex) Williams, Crystal (Marc Manchester) Ottens, Dawn (Dan Quick) Ottens, and Angie (Scott) Strobbe all of Morrison, IL; one son, Chad Ottens of Morrison, IL; thirteen grandchildren; one sister, Susan Schipper of Newton, IA; and one brother, Terry Schipper of Carson City, NV.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Michael McDivitt and one brother, John Schipper.
