RICHARD T. EDWARDS, 82, of Fulton, IL, died Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at Harbor Crest Nursing Home, Fulton, IL.

Richard was born October 6, 1927 in Baldwin, IA, to Thomas A. and Alice M. (Clark) Edwards. He attended Mt. Vernon, IA grade schools and graduated from Mt. Vernon High School. He married Betty A. Longerbeam on August 13, 1948 in Nashua, IA. Richard was employed as an engineer by the Milwaukee Railroad Company in Savanna, IL for 43 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of the Fulton Presbyterian Church. Richard was an avid golfer, belonging to the Fulton Country Club and the Bluffs Golf Course in Zolfo Springs, FL.

Survivors include his wife, Betty; one daughter, Patricia (Michael) Reynolds of Fulton, IL; one son, Dennis (Cheryl) Edwards of Fulton, IL; four grandchildren, Bryan (Amy) Reynolds, Adam Reynolds, Jeff (Emily) Edwards, and Libe (Terry) Flack; eight great grandchildren, Caleb, Aiden, and Liliana Reynolds; Ava, Kylie, & Joel Edwards, Christie and Callie DeYoung; one sister, Arline (Marvin) Klahn of Cedar Rapids, IA and one brother, Larry (Fae) Edwards of Cedar Rapids, IA.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Mavis Spangler; four brothers, David, Donald, Earl, and Paul Edwards.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 11:00 AM Saturday, August 7, 2010 at the Fulton Presbyterian Church – Fulton, IL

OFFICIATING: Rev. Dr. Stanley Bomgarden - Pastor of the Fulton Presbyterian Church

VISITATION: 3:30 – 7:00 PM Friday, August 6, 2010 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home.

CREMATION RITES WILL BE ACCORDED
