DELORES Y. “SUZIE” PRINS, 76, of 2776 Scenic Bluff Road, Thomson, IL, died Monday, August 23, 2010 at her home. Delores was born December 19, 1933 in Chicago, IL, to Albert V. and Mildred (Myers) Ihne. She was a 1951 graduate of York Community High School in Thomson and attended Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, IA. Delores married Merle D. Prins on October 3, 1952 in Thomson. She farmed along with her husband in the rural Thomson, IL area. Delores was a member of Thomson United Methodist Church. She was known for being the kind of loving person that was always there for anyone in need. She was an amazing cook and was especially known for her sour cream raisin pies, Christmas cookies and her love of sharing them with others. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She devoted her life to her family and was loved and cherished by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include her husband, Merle; seven daughters, Debra (Peter) Wroblewski of Pasadena, TX; Sandra (Don) Simons of Bettendorf, IA; Patricia (Kim) Miller of Milledgeville, IL; Barbara (Forrest) Oney of Pinckneyville, IL; Teresa (Mitch) Clowers of Nebo, IL; Laura (Gene) Storjohann of Calamus, IA; and Melissa (Martin) Schnoor of Camanche, IA; three sons, Gary (Sue) Prins of Thomson, IL; David (Marcia) Prins and Michael (Diane) Prins both of Clinton, IA; twenty-five grandchildren; thirteen step grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; thirteen step great grandchildren; three step great great grandchildren; one sister, Diane Saley of Evanston, IL and one sister-in-law, Barbara Ihne of Decatur, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Rev. Richard Ihne. Funeral Information
