EUGENE E. CARPENTER, 77, of Rock Falls Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Rock Falls, IL, died Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at the Center.

Eugene was born March 23, 1933 in Redfield, SD to Edward J. and Elizabeth C. (Olinger) Carpenter. He was employed by Self Help Enterprises in Sterling, IL for many years. Gene enjoyed arts and crafts, many games, bird watching, and TV movies.

Survivors include one sister, Patricia Mavity of Anderson, SD; one brother, Richard J. “Dick” (Shirley) Carpenter of Morrison, IL; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Barbara Carpenter.
