MARCELLA A. PETERSEN, 83, of Morrison, IL, died Sunday, July 18, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center North, Clinton, IA. Marcella was born November 30, 1926 in Clinton, IA to Peter W. and Christina (Schaefer) Petersen. Marcella was educated in the rural Whiteside County Grade Schools and graduated from Fulton High School. She was a lifelong employee of General Electric in Morrison. Marcella was a member of Albany United Methodist Church in Albany, IL, a member of the Women of the Moose in Clinton, IA, and a member of the GEM Club in Morrison, IL. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching all sports. She was a diehard Cubs fan. established. Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Vera Hammerand of Bellevue, IA and Mrs. Jane Moens of Geneseo, IL; two brothers, Donald (Phyllis) Petersen of Clinton, IA and LeRoy (Linda) Petersen of Murray, KY; one sister-in-law, Dorothy Petersen of Fulton, IL and one brother-in-law, Alvin Libberton of Savanna, IL; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mildred Costello, Gertrude Landon, and Alverda Libberton; three brothers, Wayne and Peter Petersen and one in infancy. Funeral Information
