VIRGINIA FLORENCE SIBLEY, 97, of Rock Falls Rehabilitation and Health Center, Rock Falls, IL; formerly of Prophetstown, IL, died Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the Center. Virginia was born July 23, 1915, in Sheffield, IL, to James and Florence (Smith) Meikle. She was educated in the Sheffield grade schools and graduated from Norwood Park High School in Norwood Park, IL. She married E. Dale Sibley on June 19, 1948 in Bloomington, IL. He died March 22, 1991. Virginia was a nurse’s aid at Shriners Hospital in Chicago and also Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton, IL. She was a member of the Prophetstown United Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Georgia Ledbetter of Hazelwood, MO; two grandsons; one granddaughter; several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; four sisters, Jessie Washburn, Harriet Shanks, Grace Jett and Lois Hartz. Funeral Information
