MICHAEL “MAC DADDY” McDIVITT, 61, of 403 Clinton Ct., Morrison, IL, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at his home. Michael was born August 6, 1950, in Covington, TN, to Everett B. and Emma Louise (Ivey) McDivitt. He was educated in the Lyndon grade schools and was a 1968 graduate of Lyndon High School. He was a veteran, and served in the U.S. Air Force. He married Linda (nee Schipper) Ottens on July 16, 2004 in Morrison. Michael had been employed in various construction jobs. He enjoyed fishing and golfing, his motorcycle and loved music. Survivors include his wife, Linda; one son, Michael McDivitt, Jr.; thirteen grandchildren, A.J. McDivitt, Ashley McDivitt, Crystal McDivitt, Kendra and Katlin Zuidema, Nevaeh, Aaden, Keegan and Kynleigh Strobbe, Corbin, Drew and Lexi Wilkens, Dawson Quick; five step-daughters, Julie (Tom) Zuidema, Missy (fiancé Alex) Wilkens, Dawn (Dan) Ottens, Crystal (Marc) Ottens, Angie (Scott) Strobbe; one step-son, Chad Ottens; one sister Bonnie (Chris) Schnaiter of Oglesby, IL; four brothers, Ron (Linda) McDivitt of Morrison, IL, Terry (Carolyn) McDivitt of Wilmington, NC, Patrick (Patty) McDivitt of Milan, IL and Tom (LuAnn) McDivitt of Prophetstown, IL; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Rebecca McDivitt; one sister, Christy McDivitt. Funeral Information
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. Friday, June 29, 2012 at the Pat McDivitt river home in Rock Falls, IL VISITATION: No visitation will be held. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements |
