Dear Family,

We were so saddened to learn of Mryna's passing! We shall never forget her faithfulness to our music ministry in Rock Falls, Illinois. If there was choir practice, Myrna was there - FAITHFULLY!

We kept in touch with her by phone and cards through her illness and she showed such bravery and strong belief. Certainly, we are assured that she is singing those songs she loved so much at the feet of Jesus - at this moment! What joy we have knowing that we will see her again one day!

Our deepest sympathy is extended to the family during this difficult time.

With Respect and Love,
Steve & Cathy Sorrell

grandma's house

Grandma was and always will be the best grandma in the world. I was the only girl in our family for a long time. There was nothing I loved to do more then spend the night at her house every weekend when I still lived in Illinois. When I was with her I felt like the most special person in the world. Hearing her tell me how pretty I was and how beautiful my eyes were never got old. I moved to Arizona when I was in 6th grade. I still remember driving away from her house looking at her from the back of my parents car both of us crying. She was my best friend. Even after I moved away she visited us at least once a year usually Christmas time. She never missed a birthday or a special event. Myrna Rogers my grandmother is one of the strongest, loving caring people I have ever met. I like to think that there is a little of her in myself that will be carried down generation to generation. She was the glue that held our family together. Every memory I have of her is a good one, people usually can at least think of one thing that someone has done to upset them, in her case not one. Like I said an amazing woman and grandmother. One day I will be a grandma and I can say I have learned from the best it will be hard to walk in those foot steps. I love you grandma watch down on us from heaven one day we will see each other again.

Myrna was a very strong woman who would do anything for her family. You could always rely on her to be there for them no matter what. She was always there to lend a hand and was a wonderful Grandmother to my children. I know she will be greatly missed.

Myrna was an angel who entered my life at the end of my mom's, whose spirit and mind were ravaged by dementia. When Myrna came to care for her, mom's heart soared and her eyes brightened. They shared a profound love for the Lord and a heart for music which Myrna rekindled each time she was with her. Myrna became my 'sister' and I will hold the memories of her with my mom tucked in my heart forever. I know they are joyfully singing together in Heaven rejoicing about their beautiful home and healed bodies. We shall all see her again one day, but until then, I shall greatly miss her. Praise the Lord for all the lives she touched and hearts with whom she shared her very special kind of love.
Arms about,

Myrna was a classy lady, full of elegance and style. Her voice blessed our ears and our hearts. The never ending love that she had for her sons was profound. Myrna gave me a great compliment way back when...she knows what I mean. The disappointment shown when I was removed from her life showed me the love that she really felt deep in her heart. Now that she is in heaven, she knows how much this means to me. To know that you are loved by someone so special is a true gift. It saddens me that she is gone, but now she can feel the love that I still have for her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all today and always!

Love,

MaLeesa
