This poem was given to me on the first Christmas after my dad passed away in 1991. It miraculously reappeared close to Christmas in 2006, which was our first Christmas without Kate Marie. I wanted to share it with all of you. Love to you all you are in my thoughts and prayers. Know he is watching over each and every one of you.

"My First Christmas In Heaven"

I've had my first Christmas in Heaven
A glorious, wonderful day,
I stood with the saints of the ages
Who found Christ, the Truth and the Way.
I sang with the heavenly choir,
Just think, I joined in to sing.
And oh, what celestial music
We brought to our Savior and King.

We sang the glad songs of redemption,
How Jesus to Bethlehem came.
And how they called His name -- Jesus,
That all might be saved through His name.
We sang once again with the angels
The message they sang that glad morn,
When shepherds first heard the glad story,
That Jesus, the Savior was born.

O, dear ones, I wish you had been there.
No Christmas on earth could compare,
With all of the rapture and glory
We witnessed in Heaven so fair.
You know how I always loved Christmas
It seemed such a wonderful day.
With all of my loved ones around me
The children so happy and gay.

Yes, now I can see why I loved it.
And oh, what a joy it will be
When you and my loved ones are with me
To share in the glories I see.
So dear ones on earth, here's my greeting.
Look up, till the day dawn appears,
Oh what a Christmas awaits us!
Beyond our parting tears.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HARVEY. Just wanted to let you know that we are still thinking about you. You need to send some magic potion down to help dry the corn so Robert doesn't have to use all that high priced LP to dry with!! Love, the White family

Dear Roberta and Family,

Our family grieves with you at the loss of Harvey. We have fond and happy memories of all of the time we shared at the lake and of the times you were able to join our family for celebrations. Harvey was a pleasure to know and an excellent role model for the next generation. He will be missed by many.

Our extended family holds you in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Dear Alan and family,

It was with great sadness that we learned of the passing of your father. I remember how much it meant to me when you came all the way from Erie to offer your support when my father passed away. My wife and I planned to extend our condolences personally, and I was preparing to leave work early to go home and clean up when she called and said a power line was down on our road, so we had no electricity or running water. I hope this message will serve to communicate our sympathy and good will towards you and your family.

Although I did not have the privilege of knowing Harvey personally, I am sure it gave him great satisfaction to look at you, your children, your brothers and sisters and their children and see what fine people they have become. To me, that is an affirmation of a life well-lived, and part of Harvey will live forever in each one of you. Sarah and I will keep you and all of the members of your family in our prayers. May God bless you all!

Roberta & family,
We have such fond memories of all the great times together. Our family vacations to the lake, our vacations in Florida, our trips to Circa 21 and all the great times at the lake at the farm. Harvey was always more concerned about everyone else and their happiness and safety. We think of all the times we traveled with you and Harvey was out checking the oil in the car and cleaning the windows before we started out for the day. Remember the great time we had in Florida in the "Cadillac"? All the memories of the cabanas on the beach. He was a great friend and will be missed by everyone who knew him. Love, Henry & Katherine
